Free Faith

Alongside basic needs of human existence, Freedom is also an essential characteristic of a society to exist. Though all our body needs to survive are fulfilled through food, air and water but still one just can't exist without the very element of freedom. As it's known that minds are bound to thoughts and through them deeds, but if one doesn't have the liberty he can't be at ease even if the basic needs are being fulfilled because this leads to oppression of humans and hence seizure of their freedom of thought.
By freedom, it should be meant that the sovereignty of one's ideas is achieved, and the luxury to implement his thoughts is attained. It can be anything political theory, culture, belief system and a long list to follow for that matter.
Talking about our part of the earth we chose it to be belief systems and choices relating to faiths. In our own sub-continent, this very aspect of ideology i.e. Religion has lead to havoc, if history is taken as a matter of fact. Our portion of the earth is quite familiar with persecution, massacres, ethnic cleansings and what not and all this just because of contrasting Religious faiths ( Just ideologies).
Whether it is to be started from the Aryan onslaught on natives, degradation of humans through caste systems, Ashoka's persecution of non-Buddhists ,Arab invasions of the subcontinent, the medieval radical Islamic seize and to very late incidents in history as Partition of Subcontinent into dominions based on  religions followed by massive bloodshed in which near about one million people have been reported to lose their lives and even to till date continuing riots and persecutions. But here the question that arises is what have we learnt from these incidents inked dark in our history?.
As Sir Winston Churchill said "Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it", Are we also Moving in the direction of repetition of those dark chapters of history?. Religious freedom is necessary to all, as this being an important shade of overall freedom. Nowadays very often we are coming across to listen of assaults on free voices, those who openly stand against and criticise the rise in fundamentalism and advocate liberty. As a matter of fact, there are nearly Forty-two thousand belief systems in the world and with contradicting philosophies, and even the very psychology of every human tends to dissent others. So this been established that we are bound to dissent, to contradict, there is non-other way wiser than to appreciate and acknowledge this tendency of contrasting philosophies and thoughts. But amidst a society dominated by religious hot heads how can the concept of freedom, liberty, rationality, equality be established. Religion being a set ideologies covers almost every aspect related to one's life, whether it be birth rites, education, food habits, matrimony, death rites and almost every part of life. But as above I've made it clear that we have different thinkings so there are many aspects of faith which to an individual may look useless and even may not feel to do so, here it's being done out his own free will and choice but as we have come across to see that this matter is carried high by religious zealots and may lead persecution and ill behaviour with the dissenter. Here all the aspects of his freedom are suspended because he by doing so irked few peoples and hurt their so-called faith. Doesn't that sound absurd as we have earlier made it clear that freedom is an essential component of existence so same applies to religion as well but in our society, the human right of free speech over religion is always taken for granted.
We need to think as humans first and then as believers of our respective faiths. We need to learn to settle with our critics and dissenters.
Rationality must prevail then only true freedom can be established. Appreciating the different views is a way out instead suppression of other perspectives otherwise, one human will keep oppressing the other just because they differ with each other and the human race will keep suffering the venom of religious fundamentalism.
"Humans are not for religions, Religions are for humans"
