Roads in India

Development in our part of world is quite restricted to infrastructural growth i.e. Roads, Lavish Buildings, Hospitals, etc. Though, this being a wrong notion regarding development as growth is solely strengthening of institutions, yet being at this popular notion much of the focus being in achieving new highs in this field much is not done to maintain the existing and hence this resulting in the deteriorating conditions of the existing infrastructure. Streets and Roads as being the sole base of this notion of development, Millions are spent every year for projects pertaining to developmental and hence for constructional purposes.
But here the question, which stands tall is that whether the capital spent in these projects is taken optimum use of( by this I mean the best possible use of sanctioned money). Bitter but truth is the fact that the machinery concerned in this matter has nothing but failed. When funds are allocated for new projects they are used immediately for the project purpose it’s related with as its clear if so not done it may lead to many queries , Hues and cries but on the contrary its surprising people seldom given much of importance to those to be allocated for maintainance and fixing up of issues regarding completed projects. As a matter of fact that any contruction needs due funds for its regular based revampation. But much isn’t asked about that, whether  due capital is being given on time and if given, is used for better. This indeed, is a matter to be looked into.

As we know a lot is being done by the government to take the country and its people towards progress and is even appreciable but at the same time  we also need to regularly mend our existing infrastructure instead of just keeping focus on the new. If this aspect not taken seriously can lead to a collapse in the system as its about the daily concern of common people otherwise the famous Hindi quote is applicable to the present scenario ”Aaage daud , Peeche chhod”
